Do not change nameservers firstβ
Critical: Cloudflareβs DNS scan is a starting point, not proof of completeness. Review MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, verification, and all current website records before changing registrar nameservers.
Prerequisitesβ
Access to the current domain registrar. Export or screenshots of all current DNS records. Google Workspace Admin access. Current website host and IP/CNAME documented. Rollback nameservers documented.
Procedureβ
- Cloudflare dashboard β Add a domain / website.
- Enter
cloudberrie.com. - Select the Free plan.
- Allow the DNS scan to finish.
- Compare imported records against the source-of-truth export.
- Add every missing record before proceeding.
- Record the two assigned Cloudflare nameservers.
- Only after validation, update nameservers at the registrar.
- Monitor website and email during propagation.
Expected resultβ
The zone becomes Active in Cloudflare, existing website and Google Workspace email continue working, and the authoritative DNS can then be used for Pages custom domains.
